Grampian Transport Museum

From chariots to cars, model train sets to trams, buses to bicycles … there is something for everyone at Grampian Transport Museum.

Located in the pretty Aberdeenshire town of Alford, a 45 minute drive from Aberdeen (and Stagecoach bus 220 or X20 from Aberdeen Union Square), the museum boasts indoor and outdoor exhibits including cars from across the decades, early bicycles, trams, motorbikes and steam engines.

The history of transport meets its electric future, in an exciting permanent exhibition that is captivating for both transport enthusiasts and tourists alike. Take a seat on the Cruden Bay Hotel Tramcar, close your eyes and travel back in time. Or play with the model train set, climb on a Victorian cycle, then enter a gypsy wagon. Adults and children will all find something to fascinate them here, this is a fun and fact-filled day out for the whole family.
