A North Aberdeen centuries old bridge gently spans the River Don like an ancient guardian of the land. The Brig o’ Balgownie dates from the 13th century but was largely renovated in the 1600s. Folklore links it to King Robert the Bruce however this is not historically proven.

The cobbled bridge is a poem of the past. The granite giant under your feet whispers of withered wisdom in its heart. The river flows below as all our yesterdays merge with today, like the knight of time travelling ever onwards.

Relax below the bridge, breathing in tranquillity and breathing out all your cares. Let the song of the river soothe your heart.

The Brig o’ Balgownie is a treasure like no other in the city.
